The Icehotel at Jukkasjärvi is rebuilt each winter with ice from the Torne. Abisko, further west, is reckoned one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights.
Kiruna Airport takes flights from Stockholm. Connections from France go through Arlanda.
The night train reaches Stockholm in seventeen hours. Roads are snow-covered half the year.
