This is the stretch known as the Romantic Rhine, Unesco-listed since 2002.
The Lorelei rock stands a hundred and thirty metres above the river, at the narrowest and deepest point of the passage.
Bacharach, Sankt Goar and Rüdesheim follow the banks, with their half-timbered houses and their cellars.

There is no bridge on this stretch, only ferries. We allow for it in the route.
