The centre sits in a perfect square, surrounded by a belt of parkland that was never built on. North Terrace lines up the museum, the Art Gallery of South Australia and the university; the Victorian terraces of the nearby streets recall the colonial years.
Glenelg, on the water, is reached by the old tram. Around the city, the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills make up Australia’s best-known wine country, less than an hour from the centre.
No direct flight links France to Australia: the journey starts at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle and goes through the Gulf or Asia, with more than a day of travelling and often a second connection in Sydney or Melbourne. We handle the airport drop-off on the way out and meet you on the way back.
Adelaide Airport has the advantage of being close: seven kilometres from the centre, with a single terminal for domestic and international flights. The catch lies elsewhere — moving from international to domestic in Sydney means changing terminal, which is worth settling before departure.
