Le Meurice settled on rue de Rivoli in 1835, under the arcades, facing the Tuileries garden. It is the oldest palace in Paris and has kept its Louis XVI decor, reworked by Philippe Starck in the early 2000s.

The restaurant, under a glass roof inspired by the Salon de la Paix at Versailles, was run by Alain Ducasse. Dalí stayed here a month a year and asked for things the staff still talk about. The Belle Étoile suite, on the roof, opens onto a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree terrace.
Arriving by car
Rue de Rivoli is one-way and its right lane is reserved for buses, taxis and bikes, so drop-off at the entrance is brief. On demonstration days or ceremonies at place de la Concorde the area is closed and the pick-up point is agreed in advance.
