The Gothic town hall stands on the site of the palace. The city owes its name to its hot springs, used by the Romans and then by the Carolingians.
Düsseldorf and Cologne are the two nearest airports. Brussels-Zaventem is an option from Belgium.
The station takes the Thalys and ICE trains between Paris, Brussels and Cologne. The driver waits at the platform exit.
