Andorra la Vella is the highest capital in Europe, above a thousand metres, wedged between mountainsides. The principality lives off retail and skiing, with Grandvalira and Vallnord a few kilometres away.
The valley has a single main road, which blocks on busy shopping days and resort changeover days. Our chauffeurs leave accordingly.
Toulouse-Blagnac is about three hours away via the Ariège road and the Envalira tunnel. Barcelona-El Prat is also three hours, via La Seu d’Urgell.
