Orly is 20 km away, Roissy-CDG 30, La Défense 8. The ring road runs along the north of the town.
Le Trapèze and Île Seguin, with La Seine Musicale, form a recent quarter with wide streets but filtered access on concert nights. Old Boulogne, by contrast, is a grid of narrow one-way streets.
The Bois de Boulogne next door often gives the smoothest way into western Paris.

The town sits on the south-western edge of Paris, which changes the balance between the airports. In practice, allow 30 to 45 minutes to Orly, the closest by some margin, 45 to 65 minutes to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, and 40 to 55 minutes to Le Bourget. Beauvais means 1h20 to 1h40. Above all, the northbound runs cross or skirt Paris, so the morning and evening peaks matter far more here than they do further west.
Therefore we set the departure against the flight itself. We follow your flight number, adjust the pick-up when the schedule moves, and include the waiting time on arrival. The chauffeur can wait in the baggage hall with a name board if you are collecting a guest you have never met.
The rail stations are unusually close. Allow roughly 20 to 30 minutes to Montparnasse, 25 to 40 minutes to Gare de Lyon and Austerlitz, 25 to 35 minutes to Saint-Lazare, and 30 to 45 minutes to Gare du Nord depending on traffic. For an early Eurostar we suggest leaving a clear hour before check-in, because the northward crossing of Paris is the least predictable stretch of the whole journey.

Concert evenings at La Seine Musicale change the whole southern half of the town, and the same is true of a match at the Parc des Princes or a tournament fortnight at Roland-Garros just across the Bois. As a result, we drop off before the closures rather than after, and we agree a collection point set back from the crowd — often on the Billancourt bank or towards avenue Émile Zola. That single decision usually saves half an hour on the way home.
