The southern end, around Colaba and Fort, holds the Gateway of India, the Taj Mahal Palace hotel and the listed Victorian façades of the university. Marine Drive traces the curve locals call the Queen’s Necklace, and Chowpatty closes the seafront.
Further north, Bandra and then Andheri live to the rhythm of the studios and the offices.
