Puteaux is an unusual town: a quiet hillside of old streets on one side, and on the other the tallest office towers in Europe. Most of the La Défense skyline — Cœur Défense, Tour First, the Michelet blocks — stands on Puteaux land. We drive here every week and we plan around that double life, because a Tuesday morning on the boulevard Circulaire has nothing in common with a Sunday on rue Jean Jaurès.
The ring road around La Défense feeds straight onto the A14 and the A86, so you leave the area without ever entering Paris. In practice, allow around 40 to 60 minutes to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, 30 to 50 minutes to Orly heading south, and 30 to 45 minutes to Le Bourget for private aviation. Beauvais takes longer: 1h15 to 1h30. Those figures assume normal traffic, which is exactly why we build the departure time around your flight rather than around a fixed rule.
First, we take your flight number when you book. Then we follow it live, so an early landing or a two-hour delay simply moves the pick-up. Waiting time on arrival is included, and the chauffeur can meet you in the baggage hall with a name board.
The gare de Puteaux sits on Transilien line L and the T2 tram runs through it, while La Défense — Grande Arche is a few hundred metres away with the RER A, métro line 1 and the Transilien. We collect passengers on the platform side, which matters when someone arrives with luggage and no wish to cross the esplanade. Moreover, the Paris terminals stay within easy reach: roughly 20 to 30 minutes to Saint-Lazare, 25 to 40 minutes to Gare du Nord, and 30 to 45 minutes to Gare de Lyon depending on the hour.
A large share of our Puteaux work is corporate. Therefore we are used to the rhythm of the towers: a visiting director collected at Roissy at seven in the morning, a car kept at disposal for a full day of meetings between Puteaux, Paris and Rueil, a run of shuttles at the end of a client seminar. Access to the towers is regulated and the drop-off points move with the works underway, so the chauffeur confirms the exact spot before arrival rather than leaving your guest to hunt for the car.
Away from the offices, Puteaux is a residential town with real habits. The Île de Puteaux and its sports grounds, the theatre, the schools on the hillside and the Saturday market all generate the same trips week after week. As a result, many of our clients here book on a standing basis: the school run, a weekly medical appointment in Paris, the Friday evening train. In addition, we handle concierge work — errands, deliveries, accompanying an elderly relative — for people who would rather deal with one company than three.
