Every February, Menton dresses its Biovès gardens and its seafront in a hundred and forty tonnes of lemons and oranges. The festival runs for a fortnight, draws around two hundred thousand visitors, and falls exactly during the Nice Carnival, forty kilometres away.
A seafront cleared for every parade
The corsos des fruits d’or parade along the Promenade du Soleil, and the Biovès gardens hold the citrus sculptures for the whole festival. The seafront closes to traffic for every parade.
Parking in Menton is hard at the best of times; in February it simply does not exist along the sea. The question is not where to park, but where to be dropped off and picked up.
From Nice, Monaco and Italy
Nice airport is some forty kilometres away along the lower corniche or the motorway, Monaco about ten, and the Italian border at the edge of town.
For a flight, the chauffeur waits in the hall with a board bearing your name and tracks the flight: a delay changes nothing about the pick-up.
What we organise in February
Our February work often combines Menton and Nice on the same trip, with parades on the same days in both towns and late-evening returns.
The van keeps the group in one vehicle, and the chauffeur stays directly reachable if you leave before the parade ends.
Around Menton
The Serre de la Madone gardens, the Val Rahmeh, Roquebrune, Èze and Ventimiglia are within reach on parade-free days.
The car stays at your disposal from one stop to the next, and the chauffeur crosses into Italy with no formalities.
