Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is 12 km from the centre, and Saint-Jean station takes TGV trains from Paris in 2 h 05. Sahn Drive covers both transfers and the run to Arcachon, 60 km away.
The tramway has squeezed cars out of the city centre: drop-off points are chosen by which streets are closed, not by the postal address.
