Every year in mid-July, Carhaix-Plouguer, seven thousand inhabitants in the heart of Brittany, takes in more than two hundred thousand festival-goers over four days. The Vieilles Charrues is the largest music festival in France, and everything converges on the Kerampuilh field along a network of country roads.
A festival in a small town
Carhaix has neither a TGV station nor an airport: you arrive by road, from Rennes, Brest, Quimper or Saint-Brieuc. The access roads saturate when the gates open and when the concerts end.
The festival car parks are a long way from the site, and the night walk back along unlit country roads is no pleasure.
The end of the evening
Headliners play late, and everyone leaves at the same moment down the same roads. Shuttles exist but serve a limited number of towns.
A chauffeur waiting at the agreed point, at the time you set, lets you leave when you want, before or after the encore.
What we organise in July
We cover journeys from Paris, transfers from Rennes, Brest and Quimper stations, and daily runs between accommodation and the site.
The van keeps the group in one vehicle, takes the camping gear, and the chauffeur stays directly reachable across the four days.
Around Carhaix
Central Brittany, the Monts d’Arrée, Locronan and the Finistère coast are within reach on recovery days.
The car stays at your disposal from one stop to the next, which spares you driving after a night of concerts.
